Bike Rack Grant Program 2024

Madrax 3U u190 6-bike rack on rails

Bike racks are now available at no cost to businesses and nonprofit institutions in Provincetown. The Bike Rack Grant Program provides a rack from the town’s inventory to be placed on the applicant’s property for public use.

Grant applications are accepted year-round on a rolling, first come, first-served basis. Racks are funded through the Bicycle Committee’s annual budget authorized by Town Meeting.

Available Bike Racks

The bike racks available through this program are freestanding, inverted-U racks on rails that meet the bike parking design guidelines of the Association of Pedestrian and Bicycle Professionals. The racks are made from heavy-duty steel with a galvanized finish to withstand our coastal climate. They have an expected service life of 10+ years.

Bike Rack Layouts

Bike racks are available in 10-bike, 6-bike, and 4-bike configurations. Below are recommended layouts and dimensions for rack installation. A typical parking space can accommodate a 10-bike layout.
