Provincetown Ranks #1 in the US in 2023 PeopleForBikes Ratings

It’s a hat trick, folks! PeopleForBikes rated Provincetown as the #1 place to bicycle in the United States and the #1 small city for the third year in a row in their City Ratings program. The town also ranked #2 worldwide out of over 1,000 places rated.

Provincetown scored a total of 88 points out of a possible 100 (up 7 points from 2023), trailing one point behind The Hague in the Netherlands.

Bicycle Friendly Community Award

The Bicycle Committee is pleased to announce that the Town of Provincetown has been designated as a Silver-level Bicycle Friendly Community (BFC) by the League of American Bicyclists.

Provincetown is the smallest town awarded in this nationwide round of applications and joins eleven other Massachusetts towns and cities honored by the BFC program.

The Silver-level award ranks Provincetown at the same level as Nantucket and Boston and as the first Silver community on Cape Cod.
